| The temp gauge always showed normal.. But the peanut butter like material in the water system was a clue that something was not right, and it needed some work.. :) I was surprised it was BOTH heads.. I'm thinking Chicken/Egg thing.. but it was fubar and needed to come out and replace.. Mine are NA's.. and so far this motor now is the strongest of them all.. Feels like a truck motor!.. good torque off the line, and you do not need to give it throttle as you let out the clutch..
Better than it was before, and better than the other two I have.. just a .020 overbore we did is not going to do that.. wondering if I screwed up my Cam Timing.. I did have to adjust the cams as they were 1/2 tooth and one tooth off ( Excessive head milling? ).. the heads were somewhat free donors with unknown history.
What ever it was I'd like to screw up the other two the same way.. sure is fun.. Cap
